Updated: Oct 26, 2022

Famous for its - Unique ocean sunrise, sunset and moonrise,

As we all know Kanyakumari is in the Southern tip of India and is popularly referred as the “Land’s end”. It is actually the southernmost town of India and people gather here to see where the mainland of India ends. Landscape of this place will again blow your mind as you can see three seas, Arabian Sea, Bay of Bengal and Indian Ocean meet! One can actually differentiate the 3 different colors of these seas.

This place also has an immense importance in Indian History. Kanyakumari is said to be that place where Swami Vivekananda swam till the rock in the middle of the sea and attained enlightenment to dedicate his life to serve mankind, after 3 continuous day night meditation. After this only he decided to go further west and attain Parliament of Religion at Chicago. In his memory that rock is named “Vivekananda Rock” which will definitely give goosebumps to you once you reach it with the help of a boat there.

Note:- sometimes due to heavy wind ferry services remain closed from mainland India to the rock.

India is not only a place about Rajasthan, Taj Mahal or Goa….there is much more to explore in our country and so it's rightly called “Incredible India!”
